JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 4, 2017) – Lt. Jessica Miller (right), nurse midwife at Naval Hospital (NH) Jacksonville, provides support as Brandon and Morgan Santos bond with their newborn baby, Elena. Baby-Friendly USA announced that NH Jacksonville has received prestigious international recognition and has been re-designated as a Baby-Friendly birth facility. The global Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative recognizes hospitals that offer an optimal level of care for breastfeeding mothers and their babies.
