Wyo. National Guard dedicates memorial for GWOT fallen soldiers

The Wyoming Army National Guard Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall at the Joint Forces Readiness Center in Cheyenne, was dedicated at a Feb. 22 ceremony. Since September 11, 2001, four Wyoming soldiers, Capt. Robert Lucero, Sgt. 1st Class Michael Parrott, Capt. Bruce Hays and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Andrew McAdams, have given their lives in the name of freedom and in the defense of democracy. Gov. Matthew H. Mead, commander in chief of the Wyoming National Guard, and Maj. Gen. Luke Reiner Wyoming’s adjutant general, addressed the large crowd, which included family members of the four fallen soldiers. Wyoming Army National Guard Funeral Honors member Sgt. Travis Scharosch removes the black shrouds to dedicate each fallen hero’s plaque.
