170322-N-JK586-062 STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. -- International students participating in the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School's Combat Lifesaving Course complete their final training exercise on NAVSCIATTS facilities at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.
CLS is a two-week course designed to provide partner nation forces with specialized training that enables them to perform advanced lifesaving techniques required to treat battlefield trauma.
Course topics include human rights, casualty assessment, hemorrhage control, maintaining casualty airway, casualty evacuation and management of injuries such as penetrating chest wounds, shock, heat injuries, burns and fractures.
