WELISARA NAVAL BASE, Sri Lanka (March 29, 2017) A Sri Lankan Marine bounds with his squad during the patrolling portion of a military and tactics training and exchange between U.S. Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Sri Lankan Armed Forces, held as part of a theater security cooperation engagement at Welissara Naval Base, March 29. Under the supervision and direction of the 11th MEU Marines and Sailors, the training provided the Sri Lankan Marines with a broader range of knowledge on basic military tactics, techniques, and procedures.
