Vigilant Guard Georgia 17-2 is a Joint Regional Training exercise sponsored by U.S. Northern Command in conjunction with the National Guard Bureau. The scenario for the exercise is a simulated category 3 hurricane that makes landfall and moves through Georgia and Tennessee causing catastrophic damage.
