Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan received its first foreign object debris (FOD) finder March 28, 2017. The FOD Finder XM system increases the operational readiness, efficiency and safety of airports and air stations by reducing both the downtime of and repair costs for commercial and military aircraft affected by FOD. It makes it easier to recover foreign object debris that can potentially disrupt the engines of the aircraft. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Carlos Jimenez)
