AUSTIN – (March. 20, 2017) During Navy Week Austin, San Antonio native, Vice Adm. Raquel Bono, director, Defense Health Agency visited with Sailors of Navy Recruiting District San Antonio during a tour of the Navy’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) TOUR 1, the “Nimitz” featured at the Rodeo Austin and Stock Show. The Nimitz is a state of the art immersive experience, with a virtual reality mission, electronic data capture, and digital technology at every touch point. Austin Navy Week is the 2nd of 15 Navy Weeks in 2017 which focus a variety of assets, equipment, and personnel on a single city for a weeklong series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects.
