On Nov. 2 three of the Marine Corps' newest corporals stand at attention before being officially promoted in a unique ceremony at Camp Taqaddum. (From left) Cpl. Romel M. Estremadura, a member of Personal Security Detachment, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), and cpls. Lazaro A. Castillo and John W. Wright, intelligence specialists with Headquarters Company, were pinned to their new rank by screen stars Chuck Norris and Marshall Teague. Gen. Robert Magnus, Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, presented the Marines with their promotion certificate. Headquarters Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group is deployed with I MEF (FWD) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq (MNF-W) to develop the Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic government reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi Reconstruction.
