    Airmen don riot gear and equipment in response to a simulated protest by locals living in a nearby village during a Mission Readiness exercise, March 8, 2017, at Avon Park Air Force Range, Fla. Airmen from the 105th Base Defense Squadron embedded into the 822d Base Defense Squadron to participate in the exercise. While the 822d BDS used the exercise to validate their training and regain their status as a Global Response Force, the 105th BDS received training that allowed them to show their capabilities and strengthened the bond between the two squadrons.
