A Republic of Korea Marine with 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, lands his parachute at Josari drop zone, Republic of Korea, March 16, 2017, as part of Korea Marine Exercise Program 17-6. The ROK and U.S. Marine Corps teamed up to conduct parachute operations from March 15-17. The goal of the KMEP is to enhance and improve the interoperability of ROK and U.S. Marine Corps forces at the tactical level to build combined warfighting capabilities.
