Lance Cpl. Jason McMannis, a turret operator with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, inserts a safety clip into an F/A-18 Hornet’s landing gear during training Sept. 1 on the flightline. Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Marines will inspect an aircraft after it lands if there is suspicion of damage or likelihood of in accident to minimize potential incidents.
