U.S. Air Force security forces Airmen from the 116th Air Control Wing and the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard, march side-by-side in a military line formation with officers from the Macon-Bibb County Sheriff’s Office to contain a simulated riot of actors during a crowd-control exercise during Vigilant Guard, March 15, 2017, Macon, Ga. The Airmen participated in the emergency preparedness exercise Vigilant Guard partnering with Macon-Bibb EMA and other agencies to successfully integrate crowd-control techniques during a hurricane simulation to ensure the safety of citizens during possible natural disasters or catastrophes. Vigilant Guard Georgia 2017 is a joint regional training exercise sponsored by U.S. Northern Command in conjunction with the National Guard Bureau.
