MARINE AIR-GROUND TASK FORCE TRAINING CENTER TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif. – Marines with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted a raid on a Military Operations in Urban Terrain training town in order to take down a known enemy logistics hub during Realist Urban Training, March 12, 2017. RUT is a land-based exercise that provides an opportunity to integrate unique skills and develop the MEU’s collective proficiency in challenging and unfamiliar environments. The 15th MEU maintains a high level of readiness to be where needed, when needed, and the units undergo demanding unit-level certification cycles to be proficient in every critical mission area.
