U.S. Marine Corporals Dominique Burton-Sharp, Ruben Castro and Lance Cpl. Melanye Martinez practice playing an ukulele in the turn-table of USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) February 5, 2017 in the Atlantic Ocean. The Marines are with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Many Marines and Sailors with the MEU brought musical instruments aboard Carter Hall to play while underway. The 24th MEU will operate in Europe and the Middle East in the coming months providing crisis response and contingency support for combatant commanders, including maritime security operations, humanitarian assistance, and advance force operations.
