Lance Cpl. Thomas Butterworth, 21, a rifleman and a dog handler with the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiments K-9 unit from Neosho Mo. And his dog Cpl. Trip awaits their turn to practice improvised explosive device detection skills Aug. 27 on the fields outside of Camp Horno. The two have been training together for the last three months in preparation for an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan.
