MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit Battalion Landing Team provide security while treating a wounded Marine during a raid on Camp Pendleton, Feb. 8, 2017. The training, being critiqued by the Expeditionary Operations Training Group, is preparation for a full-scale amphibious assault where Marines move from ship to shore and into urban terrain or an austere environment to a hostile target. The MEU is currently undergoing a demanding unit-level certification cycle in order to be proficient in every critical mission area needed to operate in contested domains or respond to crises around the globe.
