Command Sgt. Maj. Rafael Conde, the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s senior enlisted advisor, gets his first look at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba during final approach Dec. 28. Conde was born in Cuba and fled to the United States as a child with his family. He returned to the country of his birth in late December as part of an official visit, led by Gov. Scott Walker and Maj. Gen. Don Dunbar, Wisconsin’s adjutant general, to see the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 32nd Military Police Company presently deployed there.
