Carrie Windham, mother of deceased honarary Texas Army National Guard Spc. Rowan Jameson Windham, attends final roll call ceremony, Jan. 25, 2017, at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas. Windham was enlisted back in March of 2015, after telling his nurse his ream of becoming a soldier. Texas Militarty Department The roll call serves as a memorial ceremony to represent the permanent loss of a soldier.
