    Capt. Daniel Grieco, executive officer of the aircraft carrier USS George Washington, explains the function and capacities of the arresting gear to Col. Tan Ah Kheng, commander of Tengah Air Base in Singapore, during a visit to the ship. Kheng and other distinguished guests embarked for a tour after the ship completed a brief port visit to Singapore. George Washington, the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, is underway helping to ensure security and stability in the western Pacific Ocean.
