    I Marine Expeditionary Force

    Lance Cpl. Vibol Sam, an infantryman assigned to B Company, 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, pears through his rifle scope while scanning the streets of Fallujah, Iraq for signs of anti-Iraqi forces. The 21-year-old stands hours to of watch at Observation Post Fenton to ensure his fellow Marines have a safe right of passage on the cities main road. OP Fenton was recently named by the battalion after a Marine was mortally wounded on the same streets. Sgt. Matthew J. Fenton was a turret gunner providing security for a convoy when he was wounded April 26. He later died of his wounds, but the Marines he feel he lives on in spirit and helps to watch over those who continue to travel the dangerous streets. Sam is 21, from Lowell, Mass.
