CAMP H.M. SMITH, Hawaii – Capt. John Shimotsu, U.S. Pacific Command Chaplain (center right), met with Bishops for Anglicans serving in the Armed Forces of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States, Wednesday Dec. 14, 2016. They were joined by their respective countries’ Exchange and Liaison officers on the U.S. Pacific Command Headquarters Staff. The Bishops had been participating in the first Anglican Forces Bishops Conference in Honolulu. That event provided an opportunity for the religious leaders of military personnel and their family members of the Anglican Communion to discuss shared issues. Topics included the importance of having chaplains who can effectively minister in a multi-faith environment and equipping them to address resiliency and moral injury.
