U.S. Air Force Capt. Megumi Voight hugs a child from the L'Association De Developpement Et Protection De l'Enfant A Besion (ADPEB) at an volunteer event at the orphanage downtown Djibouti, Dec. 9, 2016. Voight and fellow members of the Camp Lemonnier Wardroom who are deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa,visited the orphanage and shared with the children the tradition of Christmas. The children who are of Djiboutian, Ethiopian and Somali descent receive education and meals from the orphanage, where the Wardroom periodically provides donations to help with school supplies and clothing. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa is a multinational effort to conduct theater security cooperation, combat violent extremism and enable freedom of movement within East Africa in order to defend U.S. interests and support aligned regional efforts.
