Cpl. Khalid Rahman, left, and Lance Cpl. John Batchelor II pin new chevrons on the collar of Lance Cpl. It is customary to allow the Marine being promoted to choose who pins on their newly acquired rank. Stone was meritoriously promoted to the rank of lance corporal for his outstanding work while assigned to Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 2, Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.
