Marines with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion ride an amphibious assault vehicle during a mechanized raid Dec. 5, 2016 on Onslow Beach, North Carolina as part of Amphibious Ready Group Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise. The simulated raid was conducted to better verse the infantry Marines in ship-to-shore movements from USS Carter Hall (LSD-50). During ARGMEUEX, Marines and will have tackled a wide range of operations and scenarios to improve their interoperability and amphibious warfare capabilities with their Navy counterparts.
