Personnel specialists from Personnel Support Detachment Balboa work together on the Navy-wide phase out of the Enlisted Field Service Records, converting from paper files to electronic files. The eight-member team work around the clock to reach their May 31 goal of phasing out all 4,200 Enlisted Field Service Records. PSD Balboa takes care of all enlisted personnel service records for Naval Medical Center San Diego, USNS Mercy, Naval School of Health Sciences San Diego, all outlying clinics assigned to NMCSD and the Fleet Industrial Supply Center. The Navy deadline is Sept. 30, 2010, PSD Balboa has already phased out 1,000 records since they started May 3.
