ATLANTIC OCEAN (Dec. 2, 2016) Sailors ready the well deck of USS Bataan (LHD 5) for a Landing Craft Utility (LCU). LCU's are used to move vehicles, equipment, cargo and personnel to and from beaches and ships. Bataan is currently underway conducting an integrated training exercise with Amphibious Ready Group and the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (ARG/MEUEX) in preparation for deployment.
