Lawrence Van Kuran, president of the 18th Infantry Regiment Association, presents Lt. Col. Peter J. Moon, commander of 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, with a donation to help with the family readiness group’s holiday expenses. Kuran, one of the veterans invited to visit the unit’s area of operation and attend their reunion ball, presented a check to each individual company commander for the same reason. (Sgt.
