STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. – An international student participating in the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School’s Technical Welding and Applied Repairs course practices welding techniques at NAVSCIATTS’ facilities on the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. TWAR is an eight-week course that provides personnel with the knowledge and skills required to safely make structural repairs and perform preventative maintenance to aluminum, steel, fiberglass and rubber components in accordance with applicable factory technical manuals and approved doctrine. NAVSCIATTS falls under Naval Special Warfare Group 4 and is a Security Cooperation schoolhouse operating under the United States Special Operations Command in support of Foreign Security Assistance and the geographic commander’s Theater Security Cooperation.
