U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Eugene Mirador with Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), remove soil from an excavation unit as part of a DPAA recovery mission near Bellha Village, Guadalcanal Province, Solomon Islands, Dec. 2, 2016. DPAA team members deployed to the area in hopes of recovering the remains of a pilot unaccounted-for from the Battle of Guadalcanal during World War II.
