A Marine with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment searches for trash on North Beach aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii during a beach cleanup, November 10, 2016. The battalion participates in community service events at least once a month, even on deployment. “In Okinawa, we went to schools and helped children speak English, and in Korea, we helped farmers with their harvests and visited children in orphanages,” said Navy Lt.
