A C-17 Globemaster III from the 535th Airlift Squadron, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii is sown as it follows another C-17 after completing an air drop mission over the big island of Hawaii July 16, 2010. The air drop was conducted to illustrate to the social media world the capabilities of Pacific Air Forces during the Rim of the Pacific Exercise. RIMPAC is a U.S. Pacific Fleet led biennial exercise that stresses that interoperability is a key element of regional security and tests participating nations and strengthens their ability to communicate and operate in simulated air, land and maritime scenarios.
