OFF THE COAST, Sri Lanka (Nov. 24, 2016) A Sri Lankan Navy Special Boat Squadron Sailor climbs over the railing of Sri Lankan naval vessel via a hook ladder during visit, board, search, and seizure training, led by the Maritime Raid Force Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, during a Theater Security Cooperation engagement exercise at Sri Lanka Naval Base, Trincomalee, Nov. 24, 2016. The SBS conducted high and low hook climbs to ensure they were proficient in both methods of using a climbing ladder to board a ship. The 11th MEU, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet’s area of responsibility in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
