Spc. William Lay, a small engine repair technician with G Battery, 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, completes the 2 mile run portion of his physical training test, July 20. Lay and three of his peers conducted the PT test as a prerequisite to attending the Warrior Leader Course the following day. A native of Baltimore, Md, Lay was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in April 2009. After beating the disease, he returned to work in January and completed the Army Birthday 10-miler at Fort Bragg, June 11.
