Michelle Garcia, Erica King, Melissa Kratzer, all Marine spouses and Michele Henderson and Navy spouse, enjoy an evening of refreshments and glamour as they partake in Operation: My Girlfriend's Closet, aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow, Calif., Nov. 9. The event, hosted by Leslie Beberbiss and sponsored by her family's business DRYKEF Inc., gives military spouses an opportunity to select a new or gently-used gown for the upcoming Marine Corps Birthday Ball. Beberniss gathers donations from local merchants, to include gowns, food, beverages, and raffle prizes such as jewelry, then decorates the Community Center on base, and provides a unique, fun "shopping" experiences for the ladies.
