ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 27, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Marty Bohm removes corrosion from an F/A-18C Hornet assigned to the Wildcats of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 131 in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69). Bohm serves aboard the ship as an aviation structural mechanic and helps inspect, repair and maintain aircraft airframes. Eisenhower and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
