Lt. Col. Robert Walker, new commander of 2nd Battalion, 245th Aviation Regiment (Fixed Wing), addresses his Soldiers for the first time during a change of command ceremony with outgoing commander, Lt. Col. Michael Koval, October 22, 2016 at the 45th Infantry Division Museum in Oklahoma City. The change of command not only brings in a new commander, but also a new mission. As of Oct. 1 of this year, 90th Troop Command’s Aviation Battalion, now known as 2nd Battalion, 245th Aviation Regiment (Fixed Wing), oversees all Fixed Wing detachments and companies in each state throughout the Army National Guard.
