    Sgt. Gerald J. Hampton and Staff Sgt. Lester Thomas, 1/244th Assault Helicopter Battalion, La. National Guard, refuel a Mississippi National Guard CH-47 Chinook helicopter at the Fort Jackson, La., forward area refueling point, June 15. The CH-47 is part of the Louisiana National Guard's sandbag-drop mission in the Buras, La., area to protect the coastline from possible oil spill encroachment.
