Sgt. Jon Foster, a sniper with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, cleans his weapon after a joint defensive fire exercise on Besmaya Range Complex, June 19. Foster was part of a combination U.S. and Iraqi sniper team during the exercise, whose job it was to respond and react to simulated enemy fire in order to demonstrate the capabilities of the range to Iraqi army and Iraqi federal police commanders from the Baghdad area.
