North Carolina National Guard Spc. The NCNGRF had a busy day with a water rescue of a stranded motorist, saving several pets, patrols supporting local law enforcement, resupply convoys for numerous shelters, food distribution points and emergency operations centers and a visit by the Governor of North Carolina, Pat McCrory. “This is an outstanding team, North Carolinians at their best,” said McCrory. More than 300 NCNGRF Soldiers with nearly 70 vehicles deployed recently on order of the Governor to support local government recovery efforts in Lumberton, Whiteville, Kinston, Winterville, Tarboro, Farmville and Goldsboro.
