The free event was open for attendance to Status of Forces Agreement members and the local Okinawa community. Cando, a Gaithersburg, Maryland native and Rodriguez, a Chicago, Illinois native, are radio operators with 1st Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
