ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 11, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Daniel Maynard, from Orlando, installs a firing pin on bomb racking in avionics shop four of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Maynard serves aboard Ike as an aviation electronics technician and helps inspect, troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
