Marines from the Facilities Maintenance Division prepare to cut a fallen tree caused by Hurricane Matthew with a heavy duty lift Oct. 9, 2016, on Parris Island, S.C. FMD provides technical direction, staff cognizance, emergency support and maintenance functions to recruit training facilities and the Eastern Recruiting Region. To ensure the safety of approximately 6,000 recruits in training, Recruit Training Regiment evacuated to Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany due to inclement weather from the hurricane. Recruit training will resume aboard Parris Island when conditions are met for safe travel back and when training can be properly conducted. (Video by Lance Cpl. Carlin Warren)
