Indiana National Guard Military Police Soldiers from 381st MP Company based in Plymouth, Ind., 384th MP Co based in Bloomington, Ind. and 38th MP Co, based Monticello, Ind., receive shooting instruction on the Slovak Army SA Vz.58 assault rifle during Slovak Shield 2016 Oct. 5, 2016 at Military Training Area Lest, Slovak Rep. Hoosier guardsmen have been training side by side with the Slovak Army for 25 years, through State Partnership Program, and are fully integrated into Slovak Shield operations, interoperability and joint force unit training. Exercise Slovak Shield is part of Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort being conducted in Eastern Europe to demonstrate U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
