U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Southern Command are promoted by Col. Thomas Prentice, commanding officer, SPMAGTF-SC, during a promotion ceremony on Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras, Oct. 1, 2016. Over the last several months, during their deployment, SPMAGTF-SC Marines and sailors have been working and training throughout Central America alongside their counterparts in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Belize and remain on standby to provide humanitarian assistance and disaster relief in case of a major natural disaster.
