U.S. Marines attach a GBU-54 laser joint direct attack munition bomb to an AV-8B Harrier II from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) in support of Operation Odyssey Lightning (OOL), Sept. 28, 2016. OOL is an ongoing operation at the request of the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA), the United States military conducted precision air strikes against Daesh targets in Sirte, Libya, to support GNA-affiliated forces seeking to defeat Daesh in its primary stronghold in Libya.
