160920-N-DQ840-066 MUSCAT, Oman (Sept. 20, 2016) U.S. Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit paddle a combat rubber raiding craft to the well deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Antonio (LPD 17) during a non-combatant evacuation operation rehearsal. San Antonio is deployed with the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts. The non-combatant evacuation exercise is an opportunity for the United States and Oman to practice a bilateral mission of quickly providing security and safety to U.S. and international citizens abroad during a natural disaster or contingency.
