A Marine from Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, greets his loved ones after being released for liberty at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Sept. 22. Family Day is the first time the new Marines are able to reunite with their families since leaving for Marine Corps recruit training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Sept. 23.
