Lt. Col. Stephen Collins, 244th Quartermaster Battalion commander, encourages his Soldiers to look out for one another and always ask for help if they’re feeling overwhelmed during a Suicide Awareness Day talk here Sept. 16. “You wear a uniform that means a lot to this country, and it means something to me as well,” Collins said. “That’s the message I want you to remember from this day forward. You’re part of a well-respected team, and we’re always there for each other.” The battalion conducted the event in recognition of September’s Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month observance.
