    U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Europe and Africa     

    Women training as a U.S. Marine Corps Female Engagement Team attached to the Black Sea Rotational Force 16.2 participate in a small arms range during Exercise Platinum Lynx, at Babadag Training Area, Sept. 21, 2016. Platinum Lynx 16.5 allows Marines from units across the globe, including the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment and a fleet antiterrorism support team based out of Spain, to train alongside partner nations in the Black Sea, Balkan, and Caucasus regions. The training enhances collective professional military capabilities and promotes regional stability. Black Sea Rotational Force is an annual multilateral security cooperation activity between the U.S. Marine Corps and partner nations in the Black Sea, Balkan and Caucasus regions designed to enhance participants’ collective professional military capacity, promote regional stability and build enduring relationships with partner nations.
