A U.S. Air Force B-1B Lancer deployed from Andersen Air Base, Guam, performs a flyover at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Sept. 21, 2016. The Lancer had just conducted the closest flight to the North Korean border in its operational history, as well as landing on the Korean peninsula for the first time in 20 years. The B-1 is the backbone of the U.S. long-range bomber mission and is capable of carrying the largest payload of both guided and unguided weapons in the Air Force inventory.
